Hi everyone -
My name is Jeffrey Ryan. I am a Maine-based author with a passion for chasing down stories with an outdoor bent.
Based on the true story, my latest book, "Hermit: The Mysterious Life of Jim Whyte" is the tale of how an intriguing character set up an opium smuggling operation from a rural Maine cabin during the height of The Great Depression.
The book was exceptionally satisfying to research and write. It has also garnered quite a bit of praise, which inspires me to continue mining for nuggets in search of my next project.
